The fall has snuck up on us rather quick but not before we had a final summer day to show off this amazing outdoor living project we just recently completed. This outdoor living project included pricing to excavation and installation of a ledge rock retaining wall around the perimeter of the property. The wall included the step area, large retaining walls, proper drainage behind the wall, and wall caps. After the wall was installed we constructed the sitting wall and natural stone ‘dive rock’. the sitting wall was constructed on concrete footings, with concrete block core, faced with natural stone veneer matching stone used on pool, and capped with 2″ natural flagstone. The dive rock was set on existing pool beam and concrete slab poured behind pool beam.
Installation of the landscape, grading, seeding, sodding, and landscape lighting was completed around the pool area. All plants and trees were installed in new landscape beds with mulch, decorative river stone was installed between the fence and wall across back of pool area, and all disturbed areas outside of fence were graded and seeded. All lawn areas inside of the fence were sodded. A broken flagstone path was installed from concrete patio to steps in wall, and a low natural limestone boulder wall for raised planter at egress window was also installed. A low voltage LED lighting system (FX Luxor Zoning/Dimming/Color) was installed with under cap lights installed in sitting wall (Zoning/Dimming/Color) and in existing stair treads (Zoning/Dimming) to screen porch, up lights/wash lights installed on select trees (Zoning/Dimming/Color), and path lights (Zoning) installed at concrete steps, along back of patio, and wall steps. Additional drainage including adding a drain box for the Sump pump outlet pipe and adding an underground pipe to the downspout near the pool equipment and fence gate was also installed.
This Beautiful Bluestone Patio project consisted of the removal of the existing patio and select plant material with some items being transplanted. We then installed a new bluestone patio area using natural PA Flagstone (pattern cut) and a new path through the landscape bed using natural PA irregular Flagstone. New plants and enlarged landscape beds were installed around the broken flagstone walkway and new stone patio. Next to the patio we installed a custom privacy fence panel using Western Red Cedar lumber to give the new patio area a private feel from on looking neighbors.

This AMAZING natural stone backyard makeover was recently installed in Stevens, PA located in beautiful northern Lancaster County. Installed during the early winter which made it quite cold. Luckily once the fire pit was complete we had the luxury of enjoy the warmth of the fire through the day. We even manage to cook a hot lunch a few days on the grill attachment of the fire pit insert.
The Project included a two tier natural flagstone patio with a smokeless fire pit feature embedded in the top tier of the patio. Natural Stone steps and boulder retaining walls separate the two patio tiers as well as border the edges. Color changing LED landscape lighting was installed around the perimeter along with an impressive outdoor audio system. The project was finished of with surrounding landscaping and a sod yard.
This poolside flagstone patio project featured a patio area constructed using natural irregular flagstone. Seating walls and fire pit in patio area were constructed using natural (Semco ‘Cedar Ridge’) wall block and capped using natural flagstone. The Fire pit was installed with Warming Trends gas insert with manual key valve (180K BTU burner). Running of natural gas line to fire pit, was completed by a certified gas technician. All disturbed lawn areas were graded and seeded after construction. Front and back yard landscaping was renovated with transplanting of some existing and installation of all new plantings. All landscaped bed areas were Edge and mulched except for pool area which was river stone.
Check out this AMAZING Cliff Side Haven we created in a one of a kind backyard. You’ve never seen anything like this before! We were blessed with an amazing backdrop to start painting our canvas. The project included installation of a pond and waterfalls based upon a Howie Supnik design. The layout includes a feed line going about 10-12′ up the stone wall crevice to mimic a spring feed. “Spring Feed” trickles down and joins up with the main raised falls area where the filtration system is located and then combines into a larger waterfall area before spilling into a stream and pond area. The pond is outfitted with a Aquascape skimmer, custom bubbling rock, and under water lighting through out. Aquatic plants were installed throughout the pond, waterfalls, and bog area to complete this amazing one of a kind feature. The Pond system is a closed loop system with the ability to turn off the “spring feed” on days that are windy or when not sitting on the patio.
Also included in this project is a natural stone patio area that is approximately 450 sq. ft. Stone steppers were installed from the lower lawn grade to the raised flagstone patio. The patio area also included a natural stone wood burning fire pit with “smokeless insert” for heating and cooking. A low voltage LED landscape lighting system including 7 up lights, 7 path lights to illuminate the patio and step area as well as 6 under water lights to illuminate the water feature for night-time enjoyment.
New plant beds with premium bark mulch were installed around the patio and pond as per our landscape design. Fine grading, seeding, fertilizer and erosion control matting were installed over all disturbed lawn areas to finish off the project.
The title pretty much sums it all up ” The Most EPIC Backyard EVER” this project is EPIC EPIC EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s a backyard full of dreams all which have come true. Speechless……..? Yup.
The project consisted of the installation of porcelain patio with upper fire pit area and hot tub at far end of patio. Upper patio surface and overlay of existing concrete pad was done in Abbotsford porcelain tile (24″x24″) in ‘Coffee Cream’ and porcelain ‘wood look’ tile in ‘Beachwood’. The lower patio area is constructed of natural irregular flagstone with the lower retaining walls being natural limestone boulders. Upper walls, fire pit, and upper steps were constructed of masonry faced with Piedmont natural stone veneer and capped with Chateau Limestone.
Steps at the lower side are solid treads natural stone treads that match the existing steps at water feature and Chateau Limestone steps. Diving rock is a large natural stone slab similar to steps and bridge at the waterfall. Another boulder retaining wall was constructed along the path. The path leads to another set of natural stone steps leading to a circular natural flagstone patio with natural stone fire pit as well.
Landscape lighting around new pool area featuring the FX luxor system. Included in the lighting system was 34 (under cap) step and wall lights (Zoning, Dimming, and Color Changing), 14 path lights (Zoning and Dimming) on paths as well as natural stone and solid steps and up lights on trees. FX Luxor system to connect with existing lighting system.
This is an additional phase to a project that originally featured a large ecosystem pond with wetland filtration, stone steppers and bubbling urns throughout. The pond has a zero edge waterfall which enters a short stream before dumping into a massive beautiful waterfall. Natural stone steps lead upwards with a large natural stone bridge straddling the stream up to the pond and deck area. Truly EPIC!
